Costello Music gave birth to some of the most catchy, sing along anthem’s in recent times, the thunderous Creepin Up The Backstairs, the heartfelt Whistle For The Choir and the epic Chelsea Dagger, a song so grand it’s verve is echoed across every major sporting ground and stadium up and down the country.
It was a whirlwind 2 years in which they where
labelled, ‘The best new band In Britain’ by The NME, and spent 3 weeks at no.2 when the album was first released
in September 2006. No less than six months later they where playing a sold out national tour which included 4 nights at the
historic Brixton Academy. So monumental where those shows that they were captured in full and released as a commemorative
DVD ‘Edgy in Brixton’.
