Incidentally, Nordic
Fri 17 Feb - SOLD OUT

From the tip of the North Sea, a sound radiates from an ice-bound grotto – the North’s sickest beats, melodies and sounds have finally arrived on our shores and have been trapped in the mystic caverns of the Roundhouse. Prepare for Project Fresh Socks to unleash the best in Nordic Electronica with a musical night by and with all things Nordic.
Sandra Kolstad makes electronic music. Dark and danceable, explosive and extravagant. She has seduced audiences with her strong live performances, in countries as Norway, Sweden, France, Denmark and Germany and played Øya Festival 2011 with more to come. Giving new life to synthesizers and drum machines, Sandra Kolstad is an artist that fascinates and captures her audiences.
Having released one of the very best albums of 2009 in Iceland according to critics and others alike, Bloodgroup have risen from making simple electro pop in run-down houses in East-Iceland to something much bigger. The four-piece band is known for sensational live shows, their captivating melodies and powerfully crafted brand of electronic music.
Torkelsen opens up the night, a young and promising producer and beat whizz from a small place called Torsnes in the outskirts of a small town called Fredrikstad, a couple of hours south of Oslo in Norway. In the basement of his parents' house this classically trained pianist has been perfecting his approach to hiphop (producing local underground acts), electro and house (as part of the now defunct, though at the time rising and promising act Munn til Munn Metoden). Through his solo work he's chasing up all of his muses, crafting a tasty and eclectic mix of all of his influences.
