Gin in Camden

Gin in Camden

17 Nov 2011 / Made in Camden

Following the success of our first sold-out gin-tasting experience, Sacred Gin return to Made in Camden for the next Gin in Camden. Create your own bespoke gin with Ian Hart, co-founder of Sacred Spirits, London’s smallest distillery and producer of the award-winning Sacred Gin.

Sacred Gin is unique in that all of the botanicals, including fresh cut citrus, are distilled separately in glassware under vacuum at a very low temperature, eliminating the harsh marmalady and bitter flavours so prevalent in gins distilled at higher temperatures – producing a fresh and lush gin unlike any other. Sacred Gin can therefore be enjoyed straight or makes an excellent martini; according to GQ Magazine, Sacred Gin is ‘a stand-alone sipping marvel’.

Ian enjoyed creating Sacred Gin so much that he decided to bottle some of the botanicals to create two gin-blending kits so people can create their own bespoke gin at home. On Friday 5 August, after you’ve sampled Sacred Gin, we will taste, identify and discuss individual distillates, used in some of the world’s most popular gins. You will then have the opportunity to make your own gin, rounding the evening off with a G&T or a martini using your very own gin!

For just £19.50, you’ll also sample some of Made in Camden’s food throughout the evening.
