Kai Whiston performs his debut London show live alongside visual collaborator Sam Rolfes.

Aged 18, Kai’s latest release Fissure Price EP was released by Ninja Tune imprint Big Dada and has received support from BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, BBC6 Music’s Mary Anne Hobbs, Mixmag, Resident Advisor and Clash Magazine.

The artwork for the EP was created by Dallas-born NY-based artist Sam Rolfes. Sam has created his signature surreal digital work for artists as diverse as Kingdom, DAWN, Rihanna, Danny L Harle and Caroline Polachek.

“Sam Rolfes was a heavy inspiration and perfect partner during the whole process. I can vouch that the visual stimuli, conversations and friendship we built were a big factor in making this project possible.” says Kai.

The night will feature support from Electronic artist and experimentalist Sera Eke. She recently released her debut single which, according to M Magazine, “mixes the electronic dystopia of Depeche Mode with the sonic altruism of Bjork.”

Having spent the last two years developing her production- and writing-skills on the Roundhouse’s creative programme, the single was mixed by Leo Abrahams (Brian Eno, Regina Spector, Ghostpoet) and further releases will be announced shortly.

Sera was a “Roundhouse Resident Artist in 2016-17. The Resident Artist programme is a year long programme of development for artists.

Roundhouse turned my world around. It’s a really special place and I wouldn’t be where I am now without it.
