Leading music magazine DIY will be taking over the Saturday of rising with a line-up designed to ensure a riotous night, headlined by hot-tip from their ‘Class of 2015’, Girl Band.

Known for their loud, intense and energetic live show, Irish noise-rock four-piece Girl Band have been impressing all the critics, with DIY describing their sound as “maniacal music” that turns the listener into a “more rabid individual”.

Girl Band will be joined by Brighton’s The Magic Gang who impressed revellers with their frenzied live show as DIY’s Hello 2015 headline act at the Old Blue Last.

Liverpudlian four-piece Hooton Tennis Club will join DIY’s bill ahead of the release of their debut single Jasper / Standing Knees on 23 February. The double A-side will be released on Heavenly Recordings who signed the band following impressive shows at Liverpool’s Sound City Festival and Cassette Store Day in London.

Opening the night will be another Brighton-based band, Object Object, who impressed with their track recorded with John Parish (PJ Harvery, Tracy Chapman) on the Roundhouse’s 30/30 project.
