Bass Culture Clash is back! The transatlantic bass adventure continues with a new set of top artists repping Brazil and UK showcasing the deepest currents in bass music today.
This year’s line up features rising UK hip hop star Little Simz, the voice of Bahian reggae Soraia Drummond and sound-system action from Brazilian dub pioneers Ministereo Público and riddim party masters JUS NOW.
Celebrating Jamaica’s global musical influence and the artists taking things forward today, Bass Culture Clash is proud to present the sounds of the world’s bass capitals.
Reggae’s been part of our national soundtrack for over six decades and its ability to evolve and influence other genres is stronger than ever today. The UK has produced the next generation of Bass Culture, with dubstep, bashment and grime dominating our dance floors and pushing new boundaries. It’s the perfect time to get involved. On Saturday 3rd May we are running a day of workshops and panel discussions exploring this crucial force in UK music, culminating in a live performance.
