Formed in 2008, Bad Ass Brass take their influence from the sounds of traditional New Orleans brass bands with their own original material and versions of classic New Orleans tunes. The band is comprised of some of the UK’s finest brass players and jazz musicians who are busy working on the London music scene in jazz bands, West End shows, big bands and orchestras. Each player brings their own unique style to the band resulting in an electric presence on stage.
They have performed to sell-out crowds at the Royal Albert Hall’s Elgar Room and Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club as well as the St. Lucia, Cheltenham, and London Jazz Festivals and in 2012 were short-listed for the London Jazz Award. They bring their bold, funky and high adrenaline fuelled performance to mark the release of their second album.
