How to Enrol on a Roundhouse Project
1. Choose a project (if you want to do more than one, please make sure the dates and times don’t clash).
2. Download and complete an enrolment form
3. Bring or post the form to: Roundhouse Studios, Chalk Farm Road, London NW1 8EH. If you are over 16 you can email your form to visitorservices@roundhouse.org.uk
4. To confirm your place, you will need pay in person or over the phone. Our telephone number is 020 7424 8477, and lines are open 10am–8pm, Tue–Sun.
5. We will send you a letter confirming your place on a project after payment has been made.

Please note that the enrolment procedure has changed, and your place will NOT be reserved until we have taken payment.

Project places are allocated on a first come, first served basis, so get in quick!


STREET VARIETY AT CAMP BESTIVAL
Age: 12-16

Camp Bestival is the brilliant family festival from the creators of Bestival. It's all about retro style and an eclectic lineup - from comedy to music to spoken word to theatre in the woods to fireworks. To fit with the exciting, diverse style of the festival, we’re looking for the best young talent in London with a range of music and/or performance skills to create a variety show that will amaze, astonish and astound festival-goers. Whether you’re a magician, dancer, comedian, circus performer, impersonator, beatboxer, singer, pianist, rapper, saxophonist, have a totally different talent or just want to develop new skills, we want you! You’ll develop your show over the  summer holidays, before heading to Camp Bestival for four days to perform it in July. To get involved, send an email with the subject  STREET VARIETY to performingarts.projects@roundhouse.org.uk to register your interest. We will be accepting enrolments up until 24 May.

MASTERCLASS: SPOKEN WORD FOR THE THEATRE
AGE: 16-25

A masterclass with long-time collaborators spoken word artist Polarbear and director/dramurg Yael Shavit, this session focuses on collaboration in spoken word. From idea to writing to performance, come and get a taste of the process of making quality word-based work and getting it on its feet. Hula and More with Marawa the Amazing

Age : 18–25
The world-famous Marawa is looking for a troupe of performers to create a show-stopping performance piece. We need big personalities with a flair for performance and the ability to keep a hoop off the ground (or desire to learn how to). Shake The Dust
Spoken Word Slam in collaboration with the Albany and Apples and Snakes
Age : 13–16
Are you a poet? MC? Rapper? Or just want to give spoken word a try? Join a team, rehearse at the Roundhouse and perform as a group in a regional performance poetry slam at the Albany. There’ll be a taster/selection day at the start of the project, and if selected you’ll work with two professional poets to write, craft and perfect your performance style before competing in the regional slam in June 2012. The highest-scoring group will go on to represent London at a national final. No experience necessary

Bestival Performance Project
Age : 18–25

Work with award-winning performance collective The Invisible Circus on a piece of interactive promenade theatre for brand new venue The
Swamp Shack at Bestival 2012. You’ll develop weird and wonderful True Blood-style vampires, fading Southern Belles, backwoods mutants and other unwholesome night-crawlers to populate the venue and create an immersive audience experience. DROP-IN NIGHTS

Come along to Roundhouse drop-in nights to Try out DJing, Circus or radio, taught by professionals. No need to enrol in advance - just turn up on the night, pay and take part. Please bring your completed enrolment form with you on the day of the session.

Street Circus Drop-in: Summer Term 2012
If you’re a street dancer – popper, locker breaker, acrobat, have circus skills or if just fancy giving it a go, come and try Street Circus, led by amazing professional artists who merge street dance with circus acrobatics to create a new kind of high-energy performance. If you enjoy it, you can come each week, learn, progress and perform. No previous experience necessary.
