What is the Roundhouse Studios?
The Roundhouse Studios is a space to create, where young people and artists can get together to be inspired and learn from each other. Located at Roundhouse's street level, it offers a range of high quality facilities, expertise and support for young people to develop their creative ideas and skills. Facilities range from performing arts rehearsal space to music studios and practice rooms. All the studios surround a circular space at the centre of the Studios, the Hub, a place to socialise and network. The Hub will also be used for exhibitions, installations and performances. Equipment includes decks, film equipment, music recording software, video edit suites and much more.
The Roundhouse Studios is a welcoming, safe, informal place where you can find a supportive atmosphere to nurture your talent, take creative risks and develop your skills. A team of experienced artists and creative industry professionals will inspire, guide and teach through a range of projects and courses. More informal support for individuals and groups is available from mentors — who could be artists, creative industry professionals or youth workers. As well as support for your creative work you will be able to get information and advice on education, training, employment and counselling for more personal issues such as relationships, sexual health, homelessness, mental health, drugs and alcohol. Visit the Info & Advice Base for more info.

The Roundhouse's CV
The Roundhouse has been running a highly successful Creative Projects Programme for young people since 2000. The Roundhouse Studios builds on this experience and success. The Roundhouse Youth Advisory Board (RYAB) have played a significant role. Also, the Roundhouse supporters have been crucial to the development of the Roundhouse Studios.Facilities
Facilities range from practice rooms to recording studios. Learn more about the facilities available to you. There are regular projects and courses which will teach you the technical skills required to use the equipment and software. Individuals and groups will be able to use the facilities independently at low hire rates. For this you need to attend a session with one of our Digital Media Technicians to make sure you know how to use the equipment. If you have attended one of our projects, your artist-tutor will also be able to recommend independent use.
More than just facilities, the Roundhouse Studios will be a place where you can meet other creative people like you. Dancers can meet film-makers, bands can find singers or song-writers, poets can hook up with graphic artists and animators. More than ever artists are exploring ideas across more than one creative discipline, across genres, mixing styles and experimenting with performance and presentation. This is the place where you can connect with others and try out new things. You can share your work at showcases, screenings, events, exhibitions in the Hub, at the brand new FREEDM Studio or even at the Main Space.

FAQ
How much will it cost me?
The Roundhouse
Studios will operate on a membership basis. Most projects will be very low cost, e.g.
from £1 – £3/session and there'll be bursary awards for those who might find even these rates beyond their
budget.
Who are the Roundhouse Studios for?
The Roundhouse Studios are for all young people 13-25
years old, whatever their social, cultural or economic background. We believe that all young people should have the opportunity
to explore and develop their creativity. Whether you want to try things for the first time as a beginner or want to deepen
your experience we hope you will find opportunities with Roundhouse Studio. We know that some young people find it difficult
to access arts activities and we run a regular outreach programme to make sure that the most marginalised and vulnerable young
people can take part.
Do I have to live locally to be involved?
No, anyone in London can use
the Roundhouse Studios.
Will the building and the activities be accessible?
The Roundhouse
is fully accessible throughout. When you enrol for any of our activities we ask you to give us details of any requirements
you have that could help us make sure that our project and courses are equally accessible for everyone, e.g. physical assistance,
equipment, materials in different formats. For more details on access provision please visit Access.
