Yasmine Akim

Yasmine attended a photography course at the Roundhouse studios whilst studying art and design, which helped her develop her technical photography and Photoshop skills. She then joined the Photo Live course which focused on performance photographym where she was able to photograph several music events at the Roundhouse including the Turning Point Festival, Echo and the Bunneymen, Air and Grizzly Bear and she felt she benefited drastically from the practival experience gained. Near to the end of the course they curated an exhibition in the Roundhouse Cafe called 'Deeper than Red'.

After the course she began to work on RedTop magazine shooting several portraits of artists and contributors, as well as the cover shoot of Class 2010, which previewed up-and-coming artists such as Tinie Tempah, Eliza Doolittle and Eddie Cadie. During the summer she documented several creative workshops, the 30/30 project and artists at Camp Bestival
