Growing up in an environment which harboured the eclectic sounds of Motown Soul, through to the classical greats and anything else in between, Grace’s passion for music started early on.  In a household that was rarely quiet, vinyls, tapes and CD’s were changed often, and so began the bug for acting DJ…    

After years of playing and live performance, she turned her hand to the airwaves when she became Arts and Culture Editor for the University of Nottingham’s SRA award winning station, URN.  During those two years, she researched and introduced a show which sought to seek out the art and musical delights that the city had to offer.  It was a boot-camp of radio ingenuity and Grace was hooked!    

Upon graduating, she moved back down to London, after attaining an internship working for the BBC at 6music.  During her time at the BBC she became friends with another fellow intern, Nick Taylor.  Since January 2011, the duo has co-hosted a Sunday evening radio programme called ‘Backtracking’ on Roundhouse Radio.  Their show hopes to encourage a listenership for all tastes, as no genre is ignored.  After all, it is all about the music…     

Backtracking can be heard on a Sunday evening between 7-8.30pm on Roundhouse Radio.

Recently, with music distributor AWAL, Grace has launched a monthly music show focusing on their emerging talent.  The show explores all different kinds of music, how people can get their start, and the music industry as a whole. 

AWAL On Air can be heard on Tuesday evenings between 6-7pm on Roundhouse Radio.
