Ed O'Meara

Ed O'Meara is a standup comic, writer and broadcaster who is working towards his dream of being a full time university administrator.

As a comic he won the National Student Television Award for Comedy, was a semi-finalist in So You Think You Are Funny as well as being a finalist in the Reading Comedy Festival New Act competition. He has also been a semi-finalist in other national comedy competitions, but is not a huge fan of comedy competitions. Ed took his debut solo Edinburgh show 'Ku Klux Flan' to Edinburgh 2010, where it was largely ignored by everybody.

The BBC said he has "mercurial wit" and Youth Review describe him as "Quick, witty and on the mark". It was at Edinburgh where Ed was spotted by actress Brooke Burfitt, who realised that his wonky rambling might have some application on the radio, thus forging the indestructible fellowship of 'The Brooke and Ed Show'.
