Just announced: Bryony Kimmings in conversation with Roundhouse Associate Artist Scottee on making autobiographical theatre based on real life experiences and the wider implications following a performance of The Worst of Scottee on Thursday 27 November.

Bryony Kimmings is one of the leading performance artists in the UK, multi award-winner and a firm Roundhouse favourite (not that we have favourites!).

Never afraid of a taboo or two Bryony is inspired by contemporary western culture, from the working class to political injustice.

Known for creating autobiographical work, Bryony was catapulted into notoriety with Sex Idiot, where she revealed her sexual history after discovering she had contracted an STI. Her follow up 7 Day Drunk saw her collaborate with a team of scientists to look at the impact of alcohol on her creativity. Her latest work for younger audiences That Catherine Bennett Show is about feminism and family activism.

An autobiographical solo piece, The Worst of Scottee was born when Scottee hired a film maker and psychotherapist to dig up his past as the basis for this show, directed by Chris Goode. Bryony joins Roundhouse Associate Artist Scottee to discuss making autobiographical theatre based on real life experiences and the wider implications.
