The Roundhouse Youth Advisory Board (RYAB) is made up of a group of 16-25 year-olds who meet every month to share ideas, review feedback and try and instigate positive change and exciting ideas within the Roundhouse.

We aim to represent all Roundhouse Young Creatives as well as to inform decisions made within the Roundhouse as a wider organisation. We hope to be approachable and supportive, to bring fresh and innovative ideas and ensure that young people really are at the heart of everything we do.

If you would like to get in touch with RYAB with your suggestions or questions, please email ryab@roundhouse.org.uk, check out their noticeboard in the common room and leave your comments, or meet them in the studios on Thursday nights.

Both were event management based projects and in between these she was lucky enough to shadow some of the Roundhouse staff to further develop professional skills. Since then she’s gained an apprenticeship in music business at PPL and would like to continue to work on festivals in the summer, alongside throwing non-profit parties and donating any money made to charities she cares about.

In terms of RYAB Bo-Dee is really looking forward to making a difference to Roundhouse projects and hearing what other young people think about the work Roundhouse does. In her words: “I know this place rocked my world for the better so I’d love to be able to introduce other young people to what they do!” Excellent!

I believe in what the Roundhouse stands for: a space for young creatives to grow and leave any worries and any shame out the door. The Roundhouse allowed me to create out of my own mind without restriction but with solid and honest mentoring, and I want to make sure that other young creatives experience this sort of artistic freedom too.

My name is Sophie Kilburn and I am an acoustic soul/pop/folk singer-songwriter and actor based in London. I am a woman making her way through life being a creative and trying to enjoy the instability that a life in the arts brings.

My hobbies cross over in my passions as I am determined to do/be involved in the arts and help others wherever I can. I do love running and I am mildly addicted to solitaire.

I am an emerging artist and now you can’t get me out of the midi-suites. The Roundhouse is a place full of compassionate, positivity and believe and that is hard to come by.

I would love to bring energy and passion to RYAB. It is good to be involved behind the scenes as you appreciate everything and everyone you meet so much more. I will give enthusiasm, encouragement and a very prominent laugh.
